The 1,267-foot-high rock monolith of Devils Tower, America's First National Monument, soars over this campground along the Belle Fourche River in Wyoming's pine-draped Black Hills. Every campsite offers a great view of the chimney-shape pinnacle; KOA is located at the entrance to the monument. In case you've forgotten that the Tower starred in the sci-fi classic Close Encounters of the Third Kind, refresh your memory at nightly showings of the film right at the campground. Fuel up with buffalo burgers or broasted chicken at the full-service Devils Tower Cafe with spacious dining room. Be sure to browse KOA's two gift shops, featuring T-shirts, souvenirs and fine gifts, including local artwork.
