Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum

Located at Frontier Park, 8th and Carey Avenue. One of the best Western wagon collections in the country. Open Monday thru Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours during Cheyenne Frontier Days are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Visit www.oldwestmuseum.org for more information.

F.E. Warren Museum

Located at F.E. Warren Air Force Base. History of Fort D.A. Russell. Portrays life as it occurred in the late 1800’s in Cheyenne and the military installation. Also home of the ICBM Missile Museum. Hours are June thru August, Wednesday thru Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m., and September thru May, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. No charge.

Wyoming Arts Council Gallery

Gallery exhibits Wyoming artists. Open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No charge.

Historic Governor's Mansion

Located at 21st and House Avenue. Home of Wyoming Governors from 1905 to 1976. Summer hours: Tuesday thru Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Winter hours: Tuesday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon and 1 to 5 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. No charge. "Big Boy" Steam Engine

Old Number 4004, is the world’s largest steam locomotive. Retired from active duty by the Union Pacific in 1956.

The French Merci Train

Sent to the American people from the French citizens in 1949 as a thank you for the Friendship Train which sent food from Americans to the French during WWII.

Tivoli Building, Chamber of Commerce

Built in 1892, the Tivoli is one of the best examples of Victorian architecture in the Rocky Mountain area. Open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wyoming Hereford Ranch

Established in 1883. One of the oldest and most prestigious of western cattle operations. Tours are available for groups of 25 or more. No charge.

Engine 1242

Located in Lions Park. Oldest locomotive in Wyoming. Built December 12, 1890 in New Jersey.

Wyoming State Capitol Building and Grounds

Located at Capitol Avenue and 24th Street. Gleaming marble floors, beautiful woodwork, stained glass, a variety of historic photographs and a display of native wildlife. Open Monday thru Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. No charge.

Historic Lakeview Cemetery

Old 1800’s cemetery established when the Union Pacific Railroad came to Cheyenne. Self-guided walking tours available. Open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No charge.
