When we first arrived, we were greeted with smiles and shown the way to our camping spot for the weekend! We needed some firewood and was told if we needed anymore just to call the number we were given and they would bring us more. Everyone was very friendly and polite! Our tentsite was the BEST!! We were thoroughly impressed and will be returning! Fancy Gap KOA- you guys rock!!

If you are a big rig then you need to be a very experienced driver because the roads and terrain were very rough. Tight corners and narrow roads at entry and to the sites. Has a great store and services

This KOA is absolutely beautiful, situated adjacent to the Blueridge Parkway. Staff is remarkable…very friendly and helpful. The BBQ that they smoke and offer on site was delicious, and they delivered it to our site! This was our second time staying at this location, and we most certainly will stay here again in our future travels in this vicinity.

Our stay was a quick overnight on our way to New England. Your staff couldn't have been more helpful, kind and welcoming. The grounds are shaded with large trees and the facilities we well stocked and meet our needs. We will use this spot for our journey's in the future.

We've been staying at the Fancy Gap KOA for over 7 years and have always had a wonderful experience. The owners and staff members are super friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. We use to stay in one of the smaller cabins, but now we enjoy staying in the lodge, a 3 bedroom, 2 bath home. Property is always clean and comfortable. Looking forward to our next visit.

Exceptional KOA! (and we've seen a lot). The ONLY potential negative is nothing. The camp owners can do anything about. The roads are narrow with a few very tight turns, but we had no problem with a 32-ft fifth wheel. There were many full size class a rigs in there who also made it. The place is immaculate, extremely well. Manicured and has the best laundry and shower facilities we've ever seen.

We were very impressed with the curbside checkin process. We had site #25 and it was large enough to accommodate our large rig and truck. Campground and bathroom facilities were well maintained. Had ordered food from camp store and was delivered to our site. The gift shop had some amazing products. We would highly recommend this campground and will stay here again when in the area.

We stayed overnight but quickly discovered that this would be a return visit. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Adorable campground with lots of hidden features that adults and children could play Ispy (I loved all the turtles and metal figures). Camp store was stocked and you have to try the menu items that can be delivered to your campsite. The brisket was amazing. Thank You Fancy Gap!

Wonderful staff, they really want you to enjoy your stay. Nice park all the way around and very quiet. Park roadways are small for bigger rigs but manageable and the staff is really helpful and knowledgeable about the best way to get you to and from the sites. Lots to do in the area, great little gift stores, breweries etc. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed in a cabin on our way home from St. Augustine. It was dark by the time we arrived, and raining, too. What a pleasure it was to find out the cabin had a small bathroom (toilet + sink) so we didn't have to walk through the rain to the bath house! It's always a pleasure to use the easy KOA reservation system and have our registration materials taped outside the office after hours.

It rained, we arrived late, left early and we STILL thought this was an awesome KOA! We had a great site, the bathrooms were great (clean, well maintained) and getting around the campground was easy on the well manicured grounds. Literally yards from the entrance to the BRP, this KOA is on our WE’LL-B-BACK list.

Everything is so nice clean restrooms. They make barbecue, homemade pizza and now breakfast items. Enjoy the campground in the mountains. We love to go there. There are golf courses close and a lot to do on the Blue Rdge Parkway.

We really enjoyed our stay. We loved the pulled pork and brisket and that we were able to get things delivered to our site. The fenced yard for our dogs was perfect. What a great amenity.

Tent camped, 3 nights 2 kids ages 2 and 8. Unbelievably kind and helpful staff. We had a truly wonderful time. Full menu they offered with pizza and BBQ was great. We tried the pizza, yummm. Perfect for a quick bite upon arrival while trying to set up. The ice cream truck was a hit. The heated pool. Fishing in the pond. The bubbles, chalk and corn hole on the patio to use and play with. The tractor ride, spraying the other campers was a hoot. Bath houses very clean. We had a wonderful spot, right next to the playground. Playground was WONDERFUL for the older kids (-7) but a bit to large for the littles. The slides are STEEP AND QUICK!! Maybe add a smaller size set beside that one for the littles. Food lion 13 min, walmart 20 min, DG 3 min. Lots of local food options. Right off the blueridge. We tend to go to Cherokee KOA but this will be our new spot I believe. We will be back! #40

I took a recent three-day trip and stopped twice overnight. The fancy gap Virginia KOA was by far the best of the two campgrounds we stayed in. This little campground is on the side of the Blue Ridge. But when they built it, they did a really good job of each camper parking site level. They also don't pack them in so you have more space than other campgrounds that I have been in. The staff is super friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay going north and on our return trip going south. We tried food off of their menu. We had a homemade pizza with the works that was really really good. We also had a brisket sandwich. It was good, but there was a little too much bark in it for me. The brisket had been pulled, which is normal, but because all of the bark that was in it, it would've been better served chopped so the stringy bark would have been chopped for a better eating experience. I also found the campground to be relatively quiet. I think there were several long-term campers there. unlike many other parks this one seemed to have their long-term residence that were just camping instead of living there and working someone local because I didn't hear a morning rush of traffic leaving the campground. My only complaint would not be against the campground. It would be about other overnight campers and their unruly dogs. I really wish that people would train their dogs enough that when I walk by with my dog, their dog isn't lunging and barking at me. There are no bad dogs. There are just bad owners. I can't fault the campground for that. This is a campground that I would definitely stay at again
