Just one night, but just what I needed. Private bathroom and shower, and breakfast provided! still wishing I'd taken advantage of on-site kitchen. I heard the pie was great.

Friendly staff and clean campground. The walking path is nice with signs to tell you about the lava fields. Easy on and off from highway. They deliver food to your campsite. We got the super smoker and it was great. The pie alamode is great also.

What a comfort stay after a long drive! They have an on-site restaurant that you can order dinner delivered right to your RV. The turkey dinner with pie ala mode was comfort food! Amazing. The park was clean an set up well for an overnight or longer. We will be back. Free pancakes before we left was an extra nice touch.

Super friendly staff, small but clean site! The unique kitchen offering was welcome after a long day on the road! The turkey dinner was excellent! Unfortunately, we could not make it to the free breakfast! Conveniently close to the highway, but could not hear much of the road noise! If our travels take us to Grants NM again, we will definitely stay at this KOA!

It was great! Amenities were excellent especially the food and delivery!

Very peaceful and quiet. Staff very friendly. Having kitchen on site and being able to deliver food right to our site was very convenient. Plus having the volcanic hiking trail was really interesting. Just be cautious if you have a large RV due to steep driveway entrance.

Easy access off the interstate, but the staff was super friendly, and the meal offered as an additional expense, was absolutely delicious. Delivered on time and hot.

What a nice, clean and attentive campground. Staff were professional and the amenities were exceptional, offering fresh, hot and well prepared meals for those wishing a camping dine out day...great campground food! The pet K-9 areas were clean and allowed my big four legged kids room to run around. I would recommend this KOA to anyone/everyone!

Excellent KOA. We stay at a lot of KOA’s and so far this is in our top 2. Food delivery to our site, free breakfast, great dog park and dog walk. The staff seamed genuinely happy to work there. Sites are a little close but I see this a lot and a few more washers would be nice. But over all 5 stars. We were in an RV but we checked out the tent area it was private one of the best we have seen.

Such a little gem! The staff are beyond kind. When we checked in, they were closing the kitchen, and asked if we wanted any food and they'd open the kitchen back up. So sweet. The campsites are clean and well-maintained. The bathrooms are great. The gift shop is super cute. And they offer free pancakes and coffee in the morning. If we ever pass through, we'd stay here again.

We stayed for 5 nights while making our way east. The campground is located just south of I-40 on the southwest edge of Grants, New Mexico, next to a large field of lava rock. You can reach the campground entrance from either end of Cibola Sands Loop, a short curved road that bows out from Route 53, so if you miss one entrance to the road you'll have a second chance. The campground has the usual mix of cabins, tent sites, and RV sites. The tents and cabins are all on the northern edge of the park, along with a couple of small RV back-in sites with only water and electric hookups. The rest of the RV sites are FHU pull-through sites arranged in three rows with all of the sites pointed northwest. All of campgrounds roads and RV site surfaces are gravel. All of the pull-through RV sites have a picnic table and are open to the sky; some sites only have 30amp connections, some have patios, and some have an adjacent tree providing a bit of shade. Our site (136) was a bit un-level side-to-side such that we put a board under our driver-side camper tires. The office building is typical of most KOAs: it contains a store that sells convenience store items (including bags of ice) as well as souvenirs, a laundry room with a small reading library, and bathrooms accessed via key code. The bathrooms are all individual rooms with showers. Next to the office is a collection of small lawn games (cornhole, Connect Four, and tetherball), and several steps further to the east is a small playground. A propane refill station and a dump station are located near the campground entrance, and there is a single large dumper across from the western end of the pull-through rows. On the south side of the campground is a short gravel walking trail that winds through the lava field, with signs pointing out landmarks and providing facts about the area. Campers can stop by the office between 7:30am and 9:30am to make pancakes with a pancake-making machine at no charge. The campground also has a dinner menu: you can order the food and they will deliver it to your site. Current menu items include five types of dinners, four pizza options and pie or cake with a side of ice cream for dessert. The campground has two dog parks: one right across from the office next to where you stop to check in, and a slightly larger one behind the dump station. Both have gravel surfaces, single gates, and no dedicated lighting. You can also walk dogs in the large dirt and brush area on the east end of the campground or on the walking trail. In terms of cell service, the best speed I saw on my Verizon Jetpack with MIMO antenna was only 3 Mbps down and 7 up, even though the cell signal strength looked good. The best speed I saw on my AT&T smartphone with 5G was much better, with 24 Mbps down and 8 up. The campground WiFi was excellent: I saw 70 down and 5 up on my initial speed test, and we ended up using the WiFi for work and for streaming.
