Campground Reviews

KOA campgrounds are always quiet, clean, and safe - and my favorite place to stay. Thank you for being there at the end of my 14-hour day.

Nice quiet KOA. Very little grass but it is in the desert, so to be expected. VERY friendly staff, and very nice dog parks.

We’ve stayed at many KOAs, some better than others, but this one is nothing more than a huge gravel field with hook ups and tables. No landscaping to make it feel more like somewhere you’d want to camp.

Said they had cable but could not get, water pressure was bad . Nice people at the front desk

Jammed in next to other large rigs. Dog park ill kept. Mats on shower floors slide when stepped on (very dangerous). Money making operation only!

Owner was very helpful with problem we had with refresh.

It was a great overnight stay!

Sarah in the front office was amazing. Knowledgeable about all things KOA, not just her location. The campground itself has a very clean bathouse and our site was in good shape. The overall look of the facility could use some work...plants, decor & just some general brighting up. I would not hesitate to stay again.

Just an overnight stay, but ready reservations, check in and out, and very nice shower houses

An average overnight stop. However, some fresh gravel is needed as the rain had made the place a muddy mess. Also, the cable TV did not work, but a few over-the-air stations could be received.

Easy in and out. Appreciated the nice people working there. Well maintained park

Convenient and lady at front desk most helpful.

Maintenance was poor. And didn't have cable so we had to buy a Roku TV. Also didn't like seeing fuel storage tanks next to campground.

The wind about blew us over. I know, they can’t control the weather but due to the location, there is nothing to slow down the wind. There was only two tv channels that you could watch on their cable connection! Not worth the price! Maybe $50,00 a night.

It is a nice place to stay for a night. There was a lot of wind. We were told , when we asked, that we could experience up to 40 mph gusts. The woman in the office said “ this is normal for them and the campground would be notified a couple of days in advance if it was going to be worse”. We made it through the night without a problem and was on our way the next morning.

We needed a campground to stay for one night. The sites were level and flat so no need to disconnect. The park was mostly gravel with few trees and close to the highway so there was much traffic noise.

The park is looking its age. Could use a little TLC.

Road leading to RV sites are wide. Not paved but at least level. Clean despite being very old. RV sites: KOA Patio or Patio are the best. Great for 2 or 3 nights. Near Walmart, Smith’s & fast food joints. Close to freeway, easy access & exit. Staffs very friendly. Dog park was very clean. Good for ATV & hiking. No tourist attractions & weather in May was very windy & sudden rain.

All gravel and dirt, no grass, so when the wind blows, it gets very dusty. And this is Wyoming! Also, filling propane tanks is 30% higher than right down the road.

Host was great. The place is a huge dirt parking lot. Very dusty. Very hard to level a large coach. No real amenities Would never stay there again

No wow factor but nice and friendly staff and pizza on sight was great.

I booked a one night stay at Rock Springs KOA during a cross country trip. Understandably, the local climate mandates no-frills landscaping, but it would have been very nice for the dogs to have a grassy place to romp and relieve themselves. Other than that, the place was well kept, quiet and a safe place to stop over night. The staff was helpful and friendly.

Disappointed that I was given a site next to the very noisy highway when there were many other available sites that were further away

It'd be better to plant some trees to block the view of the oil tanks nextdoor; some flowers/grass would help a lot too. It was hard to find the campground despite having been before, so some signage at the highway offramp would help a lot--most of the other KOAs have that as well as a large branded sign clearly visible from the freeway.

Staff very friendly and accommodating. They would have gotten a higher rating if they wouldn’t charge an outrageous price for propane at over $4.00 per gallon. Owners need to stick some money into the place, needs a facelift and better material on ground. For what they charge I expected it to be nicer.

No issues. Had everything we needed. Facility needs to be freshened up. It's a bit dated. No recycling bins? Washrooms very narrow and tight and not big enough for the size of the facility.

The lots were level and large. We were in a 37’motor home with a canyon tow. The view was wonderful and staff was very helpfyl

Stayed 1 night nice staff well maintained campground

Easy on off highway. Only stayed overnight, staff friendly, bathroom clean. Site was a bit down slope auto level had front wheels off ground.

We stayed one night in a 40 foot motorhome and were towing. The sites were nice and long and the park was clean. The staff was super friendly and made amazing pizza. It was nice to have good food available at the park without having to go search for dinner after driving all day. I would definitely stay here again.

I agree with others that the petroleum tanks and flare are not the perfect scenery. This park is nothing more than a gravel parking lot with over 50 full time rigs. Spotty to no internet the second day of stay. Other than that, good KOA amenities.

Nowhere to walk. Not enough gravel.

We arrived right at closing time so office staff seemed a little rushed to get us processed but the site was well kept and ready. Baths were also clean and convenient.

• Site was fairly level. • They say Cable TV, but it does not come in, and no air channels. • Every second pull through site is a buddy site. • Showers are great, fairly clean, decent pressure and lots of hot water. • WIFI is unstable, even my Rogers Hot Spot was inconsistent, first CG that had happened in.

Nice place to stay off the interstate. Very nice staff and clean bathrooms. Quiet and off the road. Great dog parks.

Pros: Excellent location. Staffs were friendly & helpful. Even the long term residents had polite & courteous children. Very clean & spacious. We especially like the enclosed patio which we highly recommend. RV sites are spacious with access easy. Despite it being remote, we felt very safe. The best part is restaurants, Walmart, Home Depot & fast food joints are within distances without going to the freeway. Dog Park was clean. Yes, we will be returning. Con: The weather was windy with sudden rain. No tourist attractions nearby. Maybe a couple more dog bags dispensers would help.
