This was our second stay, the first one being in 2018. It is a beautiful, well maintained park. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

The campsite and showers/bathrooms were incredible. We thought it was a little weird we weren't allowed to start a fire after 9:30pm though.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Guest inquired earlier in the day about arriving after 10 pm and wanting a fire. Sault Fire Services requires that all fires be extinguished by 11 pm, so there would be no point in starting a fire only to have to put it out shortly thereafter. Guest arrived at 8:30 and had a campfire.

Another good stay at Sault Ste. Marie KOA. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Services and amenities are clean.

Many individuals told us that this particular KOA is incredible. Well we were disappointed. It was just okay. Our site was very tight. And there was mud everywhere. We stayed only one night and would not have stayed longer.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Unfortunately we've had an incredible amount of heavy rain, creating less than favourable ground conditions. This guest had a 39' motorhome towing on a site that is 90' in length and quite wide. Had we been made aware that the site was unsuitable, we would have moved the guest to another site.

This time only 1 night on our way west. It is a lovely park and very nicely maintained. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Large KOKA and this KOA had everything. My site had all the mosquitos in Canada visiting. I think there were mulch piles and debris nearby which may have been the reason. I don't think it was as bad at other sites, but I could be wrong. I stayed in my car until I was ready to run to my tent. That said, the facilities were nice and the bathrooms were clean.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

We try to keep everything cleaned up, and our mulch pile is well away from any sites. Unfortunately, northern Ontario has it's share of black flies and mosquitoes.

This is a beautiful campground with green grass and lots of trees! The employees were all very friendly! We would definitely stay here again! We were in a 45’ motorhome.

Friendly welcome, nice sites, this campground is spotless and has all kinds of things to do and is really close to the city. The showers and washrooms are amazing. They are super clean and they even have rainfall showers with lots of pressure. Highly recommend this campground.

Great off lease dog runs. Sites were kept clean and level. Staff very pleasant to talk to and very helpful with questions.

Très beau camping avec des arbres matures. Sanitaires impeccables. Nous sommes restés une nuit et c’était en pleine rénovation et préparation du site, donc beaucoup de bruit. Nous aurions aimé être avisés à l’avance qu’il y avait autant de bruit et que le terrain n’était pas encore tout aménagé. Au minimum, on n’aurait pas du avoir à payer le plein prix.

Very well organized camp grown, extremely diligently maintained. Clean space. The camping areas don’t have fallen leaves (a breeding ground for ticks) and they’re very well kept. Would camp here again in a heart beat

Nice park. My only issue was the cable hookup did not work. You might want to have someone check it.

Our local KOA never disappoints. Very clean, always have everything me need that we may have forgot or…..cute things to buy lol. Staff and owners are very personable and kind. Highly recommend!

Absolutely fantastic staff and owners. Park was still a little damp, as it’s early in the season so we had to do some moving around, but the team at the SSM KOA made is seamless and simple. Can’t wait to come back again!

Lots of nice walking areas for me and my dog. Bathrooms were always clean. We were always greeted warmly by any employees. Also we have never pre booked our stays but always luck in to find a KOA when our traveling day is done. I really should remember to download your app. See you next time and thanks for your positive and friendly attitude. Julie Stanley

Visited this park in late Sept, fall colors and this park is just beautiful with fall colors. Nice location, very easy to get into sites. Great location for site seeing in area. Friendly staff and very clean bathrooms. Thank you.

Beautiful large trees lots and great facilities! The campground was off the main roads so it was quiet and peaceful.

Nice campground and quiet. The site was perfect for us but the number one reason for our score was the clean shower/bathroom area. Strong water pressure with overhead rainfall type shower head, it was spotless and they even had background music playing quietly. Oh, NO additional charge for wifi.

Very nice. Nice big site. The only downside was that the septic connection is way back at the end of the site and I couldn’t reach it. If I hadn’t been towing it probably would have been ok.

Traveling alone in a B class RV in the off season, I was pleased to find the campground still open. Surrounded by an incredible forest of maple trees my campsite was spacious and very scenic. Newly arriving campers were placed at a distance [by accident or planned, I don't know] but the extra space was appreciated. The natue trails were sufficiently easy for a senior and I walked all of them. Thx.

A very nice, clean, well-laid-out campground, with many interesting activities for kids and pets (dogs). The bathrooms are very well maintained with some of the best showers I've seen in a campground (though there isn't very many, so I imagine if it's busy there could be line-ups. Don't be surprised like I was if you hear a woman's voice in the men's ... they've got the radio playing in there! LOL I checked in after hours, so I didn't meet the owners, but he seemed very personable on the phone, ensured I could get out of the chill and back in my camper before having to finish all the paperwork (very considerate) and wasn't even upset that I'd interuppted his dinner (I offered to wait, he insisted on helping me right away!) I chose a site with power and water, but without sewer (I didn't need it) ... the power was stable, the water pressure excellent. The wifi is free, and they say it's not guaranteed, but I had an excellent signal with a 1/3 full campground (again, if it were a busy weekend, your results may vary) All in all, a highly recommended place to stay for a quite reasonable rate for everything you potentially have access to (I had neither pets nor children with me)

man spürt, dem Betreiber liegt der Betrieb am Herzen; dto. den 2 Angestellten, mit denen wir uns unterhielten. äußerst gepflegter Platz; vollständig ausgestattet; toller Spielplatz; alles sehr hochwertig umd sehr sauber; sehr empfehlenswert … zu Hause werde ich mal ein Bit probieren und auf das Team anstoßen 😀

I would give this KOA a 5* it has everything you need including a doggie play area, everything is so clean & tidy Just a heads up though the pool is under construction, so double check if open if that's your thing.
