Then campground itself was clean. It is gated and we were advised to not venture outside the grounds on foot because it is not safe. During our 5 week adventure we had reserved camp spots in KOAs all along our route. To be fair to Albuquerque, I am NOT a fan of any of the KOAs we have stayed in so far. The spaces are extremely small and we have witnessed numerous problems parking large rigs.

Campground was well maintained and provided a pleasant atmosphere. Staff were very pleasant and professional. I would highly recommend this campground for anyone looking for a quality place to stay.

Great campground. I stayed in a spot for tent camping. It was enclosed on three sides to give a lot of privacy. Also there was an overhead shelter for the table. Also came with a fire ring. Great place for families with kids, but what I liked most is that there is a wash tub for your dog. The campground is enclosed with a safety gate for security. They even pick up your trash every morning!

Smelly bathroom and showers. Toilets had soil rings (not cleaned often enough). Recreation room smelled musty but it was neat and tidy. ( Better ventilation is required). Laundry room chairs were cloth and stained. The need to be replaced with chairs that can be cleaned. Too expensive for the condition of this KOA.

Pretty good, but wasn’t the best site. It was right up front with all the traffic coming by. One thing is constant at KOAs, because we have a small camper, we typically get the worst sites.

A little noisy from the interstate on the other side of the wall, but otherwise it's a very nice place. Well set up lots of things to do. I guess it depends on where you park but we parked in the ones that had the doggy table, etc. for $150 a night Close to the highway otherwise we love the place

Quick overnight stay on our way back home. Very expensive. Camp site was nice and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a lovely KOA in a great location. One of the cleanest and best designed KOAs that I have ever seen. We were amazed that it is just rated as a "Journey" as it is so much better than all other Journey's!

We stayed 3 months and it was great! I am a travel nurse and I needed a nice, safe, place for my wife and our dog to stay while working at UNM Hospital. The campground is clean and well maintained. The staff is amazing! Security was a key feature. If you’re not supposed to be there… they’ll escort you (politely) to the gate. 3 months and no complaints! Highly recommend!!!

We stopped for 2 nights in Albuquerque. We found the site very well maintained and clean. The staff were very helpful and the site felt very secure.

We reserved a Patio Site with all amenities including cable TV and WiFi. Both the cable TV and the WiFi were the worst we have ever experienced anywhere we have stayed. We do a lot of RV travels. A couple of times site representatives came by to assist without success and they even found some electrical problems with the cable and WiFi boxes. Reimbursement is appropriate.

We stayed at your KOA stop and get some sleep on our 2200 mile round trip on the way there and on the way back. We were there long enough to get about six or seven hours of sleep, and then get on the road again, but the place was very nice. It was clean and everyone was super pleasant.

A good location, in close proximity to many attractions. Some traffic noise. They have a gated entry, which can be taken as good and/or bad. Our site was very spacious and nice, but next to the pet park and playground, which could be a problem to some ppl. KOA staff was very welcoming and helpful. We did not use the pool (it looked beautiful), the laundry, or bath house, so cannot comment.

We stay at this park a few times each year because it is conveniently located off I-40 as we pass thru the area. We always have looked forward to the stay because of the clean grounds. This stay we were VERY disappointed. There are several very old run down (and a few broken) coaches and campers on the grounds. The grounds are filled with weeds, which we have never seen before. Clean up please!

I have used this place before. It is nice enough and clean. The cost is just totally unjustified! $130.00 for one night in a space ten feet wide is outrageous. The check in ladies are very nice and are helpful, but it is the cost that will keep me from coming back

This was a beautiful campground for everyone! Families & couples alike, they had it all… Games to great laundry facilities to the people. The park itself was close enough to get to a lot but secluded enough to feel homey. It was clean, well cared fur & everything we’ve come to expect from KOA & more; highly recommend & we’ll be back I’m sure!

I was passing through on business so this wasn't a trip for pleasure (I have a dog and like to stay in the cabins), for that, this KOA was fine, nice pool and hottub. Like the majority of KOA's, it was next to a major highway so was noisy. It's a bit like a parking lot, which is more typical in major cities, but if I were going for pleasure, I think I'd find another option.

Nice, clean and quite park. Beautiful pool and lots of activities. Adult hot tub and even a put-put golf course. Stayed an extra day it was so nice.

This visit was just a short stay. We have been here to Journey before. We just love this place. It’s honestly a well laid out campground. We will definitely return.

Nice park. Patios in between sites is nice. Dog park with grass and another with pebbles. The only downside is the constant train whistles even at night.

Friendly staff but the grounds are not maintained well. Weeds are overgrown and the overall image seems dated.

CAMPGROUND RESPONSE / COMMENTS:

Weeds this year are a problem everywhere in NM, with a mild and wet winter, weeds began growing in February. Our team is working as quick as possible to get the sites cleared, we apologize this was not one of our better moments.

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin. We checked in late. They have a security gate where you punch in a code to get in. The security gate is only closed during the night & you can go in and out. The man who gave us the key to the cabin also escorted us to the cabin as well. We are traveling with our dog. The cabin had everything we needed. They even had dog dishes and an individual snack bag for dogs. They have 2 fenced in dog runs. There was plenty of room for your dog to get some energy out. We only stayed one night. Our cabin was spacious and the refrigerator was good sized for those who plan on staying for a week. We were impressed with what we saw during the day when we took a quick drive through. There was not much green grass, but for us that did not matter. There was a play area as well as swimming pool & hot tubs open 24hrs. We will be planning on returning and making our stay longer.

Very nice KOA. Little pricey and not extremely convenient to get to but it was nice all the same. Laundry, showers, mini golf, kids play area, multiple pet areas, pool and cabins. Not a whole lot of choices in the convenience store but will get you by in a pinch. It is a little noisy with the highway so close.
