It was a very relaxing weekend. Only a few bumps along the way. I reported the issues for my cabin to the front but nothing was fixed by the time I left. And if at all possible, add covering to the deck on cabin 221. The rain made it difficult to enjoy outside without a covered porch. Staff are always super friendly and helpful! Thank you!! And the activities, top notch.

At first we had an awful Site right at the gate for the ponds and everyone walked through our site and parked golf carts everywhere. (Site 57). But the staff at the front desk let us switch sites and after that the experience was great.

We had a great time as always. We’ve been coming to this campground for many years. It is one of my favorite places to camp ! The weather was not on our side but the campground did activities to keep the kids occupied! My only complaint was how muddy it was from the rain but that was not the campgrounds fault !

It was great except the thunderstorms. Not sure I like the set up for campers at the back where some campers face each other.

Our stay at the KOA was great as usual! This is the only campsite my family stays at when going camping ! Always something for the kids to do which is wonderful!!

3 night stay. Unit was clean and everything worked as should. No refill on toilet paper or trash removal. Could have used both

Best check in set up easy signs driving in, great new pool area and all the staff are nice and helpful with any questions.

So enjoyed staying there. Helpful staff, quiet in the park during the week and filled up on the holiday weekend. But all campers were respectful of the 10 pm quiet time.

It would have been great but ..the bathrooms was d The non controlled children.. running around ..in my camp site and the parents that let them .. was too much .. went to pigon for the day came back past dark .. and I have drunks again came in our space with the beer bottles and lleft them for ne to pick up .. and took my parking. I had to go all the way to over flow .. and I'm handicapped.. ..

Nothing short of a great stay. It rained every day for short period of time but all the activities to do there did not get effected by the weather. It would rain we could drive into town or go to the covered pool. The outside pool opened and our kids enjoyed it. Plus the workers were amazing and so kind and helpful!

Cabins are pretty run down, although the store is brand new. Outdoor pool not open (awaiting approvals?) but it looked great. Another brand new building was empty - not sure what it will be used for but it was alongside the outdoor pool. Water to the whole campground was unexpectedly turned off for repairs for an entire afternoon. Staff member didn't know what movie was being played THAT night

When I showed up to check in after hours there was no site assigned to my name, no map on the door for me, and no available sites listed. When I called the assistance phone number I was sent to voicemail multiple times. This forced me to drive around in the dark and rain (on motorcycle) until I found a spot. The only available one had rotting fish heads dumped at it. I left at first light.

We have enjoyed the Cherokee facility three times. Every time we go it has only gotten better . The grounds are immaculate and wonderfully landscaped and the pools , the grounds surrounding them , the office and store are beautiful . The bathrooms are clean and all the upgraded work from last visit mentioned above is truly appreciated. It is our favorite site!

I actually stayed there from May 9 until 23 May. I had the most delightful time. I love the Cherokee Indian experience. I love the campsite. It’s beautiful. I just can’t imagine what it took to make such a beautiful campground and amazing educational experience for people to learn more about the Cherokee Indians. This was our third year in a row for a group of 4 rvs to go together and camp. We loved the KOA in Cherokee but this year we were extremely disappointed primarily in the cleanliness of the bathrooms. We arrived on Wednesday and the restroom by the basketball court wasn’t cleaned until the next Tuesday. The water was even cut off Sunday and the toilets were running over until Tuesday.

Stayed in mostly level back-in site 93 along the trout ponds. Alas, the passing traffic is noisy- loud commercial trucks, motorcycles with open pipes and sports coupes roaring by. The nearby river is NOT easily accessible. I used the updated comfort station. The staff are friendly and helpful.

KOA Cherokee is a great place for families with small children. We brought our 4 year old and 2 year old grandsons and they had a blast! The campground had plenty to keep them busy and we were just a short drive away from seeing the elk each evening. I recommend this campground!

We enjoyed it, the men's bathrooms were not very clean during our stay this was the only thing that my husband noticed. We really wished there was a way to get to the creek easier, to let our dogs play. We figured there must be a reason there wasn't one.

Dirtiest koa we ever stayed at. Pool filthy. Broken and unsafe ladder with loose steps and wobbly. Hot tub has piles of dirt in bottom. Does not work. Told staff nothing repaired. Bathrooms near staff sites disgusting. Clogged toilets for days. 0 cleaning seen. Lots of Carnies with neck tattoos riding around all day and night on golf carts. Nobody cleaning or fixing. Hire some help with teeth.

Lock on bathroom door was broken and fell off. I repaired it. No plates, silverware or cooking utensils. Otherwise it was good. Staff were friendly and helpful

Loved the place, been coming here for a few years now. Would love to see some more lighting at night around the front area as far as the entrance is. Very confusing when driving in at night.

We arrived and from the start everyone was so nice. We had gone for our daughter birthday. The whole staff wished her a happy birthday. The cabin was exactly what we needed for a weekend getaway. The camp activities are fun for the whole family. The bathrooms were always clean and if needed a staff member is always around. Thank you for an amazing weekend our daughter will never forget!

Has a great time staying in the cabin and fishing for trout in the ponds and river. The only suggestion I would have is to put a little gate on the deck to keep dogs contained when people are sitting outside. We ended up buying a little expendable plastic gate and wedged it between the deck and a cooler but it would be great if you had a real gate for people with pets.

We love the Cherokee/Great Smokies KOA. The campground is well kept and the cabin was clean. The staff is friendly and obviously cares about the campground. Our kids loved the creek, the playground, and fishing. It's a great base camp for area exploration; Mingo Falls is so close! The cabin was clean and well stocked with pots/pans, silverware, grilling utensils, plates, cups, and bowls. We will be back! The photos reflect a Deluxe Cabin (Full Bath with Shower) 6 person, near creek. There was a set of bunk beds, a full bath, and a separate bedroom with a full size bed and creek views.

Very nice park. Kind of out of the way yet close in. Quiet which is very nice if you've spent a few nights near a freeway.
