Meet Your Hosts

Sylvia & Thomas Weber

Enjoy great camping: play, relax and recharge!

Allow me to introduce you to Thomas and Sylvia Weber, the delightful hosts of the Chicago Northwest KOA Holiday campground. Originally from Switzerland, they moved to the U.S. in 1998 with their two young boys, Stephan and Andreas. Their love for camping began even before their relocation, and they quickly discovered that America was a true Camping Nation, offering incredible outdoor opportunities. With their travel trailer in tow, they explored the country, drawn to the KOA Yellow and the consistent quality of the parks they visited. Inspired by the positive experiences they had, Thomas and Sylvia decided to make their dream come true by acquiring the Chicago Northwest KOA Holiday campground. Now, after more than a decade of ownership, they continue to be passionate about their park, constantly improving it for their guests. From great Wi-Fi to upgraded sites with patios, this family-friendly campground is a haven for both humans and their furry companions. And for those who seek a touch of luxury in the great outdoors, the Webers have introduced glamping options—think cozy cabins, safari tents, and decked-out RVs—that allow guests to experience nature without sacrificing comfort. So, if you're ever in the area, be sure to say hello to Thomas and Sylvia at the Chicago Northwest KOA Holiday!
