We changed sites so we could gave shade and that was a mistake. The area we were in was very crowded and we had to ask a fellow camper to move is truck so we could get out. The grounds however are well-kept. Staff are friendly.

Our stay was enjoyable, staff was friendly. It would be nice to have a little less goose poop in our site though, or someone occasionally picking it up.

I had an excellent stay at the Swannanoa KOA. Everything was clean and updated. It’s a beautiful location.

First time here. Great time! Staff was nice. The shop was stocked. The arcade and outdoor games were nice. The lake is beautiful. The tent site was really close to bathhouse. Would definitely come again!

A diverse campground with everything from pull through patio sites to sites tucked around the water or in the woods. We really enjoyed walking around the ponds and by the river. Conveniently located between Asheville and the small towns of Black Mountain and Montreat which we really enjoyed visiting. Can’t wait for our return visit.

Everyone there is friendly and helpful… we have been staying at this KOA for many years and come 3xs a year. If I could make a suggestion please have all dryers on property working. They are not…Also we leave our camper usually from May through October and pickup during our last stay. they use to put out camper and put in our in the spot for us before arrival. I’d like to see that come back!

This is such a nice campground! Loved looking out at the lake with all the wildlife. It was very quiet, bathrooms & showers were clean. Nice walking paths along the lakes & river. We were going to site see in the area but decided to just enjoy the camp. We will definitely return!

Always our first and last stop between Colorado and North Carolina (outer banks). Fantastic location and park improves every time we stay. Hope to see a few Paw Pens soon. Thanks for everything!

One of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed at, everything, bathrooms, showers, grounds was clean and the staff were very friendly, most definitely be a place we will come back to.

Asheville East KOA is a wonderful campground - conveniently located with a terrific setting. Everything is well maintained and there are lots of activities for both children and adults. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and special shout-out to Mike, who always was eager to help make our stay pleasant while keeping a smile and a welcoming, friendly demeanor. We will definitely be back.

We enjoyed ourselves and kids loved fishing. Only negative is the bike rentals it is far to expensive for a half hours slot and to not be allowed to go around the whole campsite. I feel if you made your pedal bike rentals more reasonable, they would get used and not sit all weekend.

We liked this park very much...although the site we were assigned had standing water right at the picnic table the entire time we were there. It was not from rain but we figured an underground leak. Would look for a better site than the one we had but that being the only issue I WILL BE BACK!!!

Nice campground with all the amenities. Great access to Black Mountain and Asheville. The lake and river running through the property are so nice. We’ll be back in our little camper van.

Check in was a breeze and Jill was the best. Campsite was very clean and near the dog park which was convenient. This was our third time staying at this location and I’m sure we will be back. Oh, and the cafe was a good addition.

We are KOA work campers. We decided 3 years ago to do this after staying here. We've stayed here a few times since. Always a friendly and helpful staff and the park is beautiful! Keep it up Swannanoa KOA!!!

I took showers at the bath house and ran out of hot water after less than three minutes. This happened every day we were there. (3 days).

Quiet, clean, picturesque park, big rig convenient and close to Asheville, Black Mt and the Harley dealership if you’re renting/riding your own. Staff were very friendly and helpful with an equipped camp store for essentials. Swannanoa is minutes away for other stuff and DT Asheville about 20 mins. We stayed in cabin 11 this time. Positives? It's more secluded from others. Negatives? The bathhouse is not as nice as the one where we stayed at previously (cabin 7). The plugins for electricity were limited. It took us a while to figure out how to plug in the air conditioner. If you have the air plugged in, you can't have TV. The kids activities and coffee from a local food truck were nice!

Pretty campground on the lake but if you stay on the lake, the geese wander in the campsites constantly and there is poop absolutely everywhere. Had to constantly watch where we walked. Also 2 of the 4 dryers broken. For $100 a night we should not have to go to a local laundromat. They had a food truck here on the weekend. The breakfast burrito was amazing.
