NIC Fest Photo

NIC Fest

One of Casper's favorites and longest-running downtown festivals celebrates all things creative. At NIC Fest more than 70 regional artists showcase their craft for visitors who peruse and purchase art pieces ranging from Wyoming landscapes to modern media. NIC Fest is hosted by the Nicolaysen Art Museum (Casper's largest art museum), and it takes place outside on the museum grounds. It continues to grow each year, and, while the art is outstanding, you'll find yourself browsing through much more than just art. At the NIC Fest, you'll find jewelry, handmade clothing, hand-squeezed lemonade, specialty sweets and new surprises year after year. This free, three-day, family-friendly event features live music, food and entertainment in early June.

Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo

One of Wyoming's premier events, the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo celebrates the best of summer, with carnival rides, monster trucks, a parade through downtown Casper and five nightly PRCA rodeo performances, where athletes compete in bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, team roping, tie-down roping, mutton bustin', bull riding, steer wrestling and barrel racing. You'll also catch some of the best athletes in professional sports, the bullfighters, at the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo, as they're tasked with protecting bull riders during each night's performance. This year the Central Wyoming Fair and Rodeo will take place July 7th-15th, 2023.
