Check In and Check Out Times

Arriving guests may check in for their stay at 2PM.  All guests must check out and vacate their site by 11AM so that we can prepare for new arrivals.

Restroom/Shower/Laundry Access

Private restrooms with showers are available to all registered guests.  We have a commercial-grade laundry room available to registered guests, as well.  Our washers and dryers are coin-operated.  Detergent may be purchased in our general store.  Guests will be provided restroom/shower/laundry access code upon check-in.

WiFi Access

WiFi is available to all registered guests in our campground at no additional charge.  You will be provided the WiFi domain and password upon check-in.

Campfires and Campfire Wood

Campfires are generally allowed in our campground, however mid to late summer bring the potential for fire hazard, and with it some restrictions for campfires.  No matter the time of year, be sure that your campfire is not left unattended.  When you tuck in for the night or leave your site, your campfire should be doused with water to ensure the fire is out.  Using firewood from outside areas could introduce invasive species, so bringing your own firewood is discouraged.  We sell locally sourced firewood at our general store for your convenience.

Visitors

Visitors are welcome in our campground, but must check-in at the general store and purchase a guest vehicle pass before proceeding into the campground and may only stay for the designated dates.  Visitors may park on the site of the guest they are visiting or in designated parking areas.  There is absolutely no parking in fire lanes, emergency access areas, or in other guests sites.

Pets

We know that our pets, dogs in particular, are part of our families and we enjoy taking them with us on adventures – Your dog is welcome in our campground, but we ask that dogs (and all pets) and their families practice good pettiquete (pet ettiquette) and adhere to our campground rules during their stay:
  1. Only well-behaved, friendly dogs will be permitted.  If your dog is having a bad day, please keep them away from other guests.
  2. All dogs must remain on a leash, no longer than 6', at all times within the campground.
  3. When your dog is tethered at your site, the tethering leash cannot be longer than 6'.
  4. Leashes must not be wrapped around our trees as they are young and could get damaged.
  5. Unattended dogs are not permitted.  If you leave the campground, your pup must go with you.
  6. Dogs bark for many reasons and a little chatter is okay, but when barking becomes excessive or is disruptive to nearby guests, we ask that you address your pup's needs to quiet the barking.
  7. When your pup goes potty, please be sure to clean up after them and dispose of the doggie bag in the nearest trash can.
  8. Our Kamp K9 dog park is available for pups to stretch their legs, roll around, play, and sniff. Please do not leave your dog unattended in the dog park and be respectful of other dogs and their families using the park.
  9. If your dog is left unattended, displays aggressive behavior, excessive parking, or improper petiquette, and we have made reasonable attempts to inform you of such behavior, we will ask you to leave the campground for the safety and wellbeing of our guests.

Wildlife Awareness

Connecting with nature and wildlife. Various types of wildlife big and small may be found on and around this campground. Be alert and give them distance and respect. Keep dogs on a leash and properly store food, trash and cooking supplies. Your safety and the future of wildlife depend on you.

Quiet Hours

Please be respectful of all guests by keeping noise levels tolerant during your stay by practicing camping etiquette.  Strict quiet hours are between 10PM-8AM.  By 10PM, conversations around campfires must be hushed and motorized vehicles and generators should be turned off.  If you must leave early in the morning, please avoid revving or idling your engine, starting equipment, or using outdoor voices until after 8AM.

Weather

Cave Junction is located about 35 to 40 miles east of the Pacific Ocean. The coastal range of hills provides a buffer from ocean storms so that we have a mild climate. Summer temperature will go over 100 degrees for a few days. The nighttime temperature will drop to 55 or 60 degrees, making for comfortable sleeping. Winter will see about 20 degrees as an average low. Rainfall averages 50 to 55 inches, most of which occurs in December and January. June, July and August are usually dry. Since our valley is somewhat isolated from major weather patterns, there are normally no large storms and damaging winds. Snow fall is a few inches on the valley floor. The surrounding hills with elevations over 5000 feet will receive a few feet of snow. The last snow is usually gone from the higher elevations by the middle of June.
