From scenic parks to outdoor adventures, this charming Midwestern town has something for everyone, including your furry friends. So grab a leash, pack some treats, and let's explore the pet-friendly activities that Goodland has to offer!

1. Camping with Pets

Camping with pets can be a wonderful and memorable experience for both you and your furry companions. It offers a chance for them to explore new sights, smells, and sounds in the great outdoors. Here at  Goodland KOA Journey, we have added a giant new dog run we call KampK9, with over 3,000 square feet of space for running, fetching, jumping and sprinting canine goodness! If you want to experience luxury relaxation while enjoying the company of your 4-legged companions, our campgrounds have Deluxe Patio full-service sites which offer a Paw Pen dog run for your furry friends.

Remember to bring all the necessary supplies for your pets, such as food, water, bedding, and any medications they may need. It's important to plan ahead and research pet-friendly campsites to ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure for you and your furry friends.

2. Goodland Dog Parks

Start your pet-friendly adventure at the Goodland Pioneer Dog Park, a haven for dogs of all shapes and sizes. This spacious off-leash park provides a safe, fully fenced, and secure environment for your furry friend to run, play, and socialize. The park features separate areas for large and small dogs, play tunnels, pet waste stations, etc. It's a fantastic spot to meet fellow dog lovers and let your canine companion burn off some energy. Another safe haven for your furry friends is the Prairie Dogs Dog Park which includes a fenced off-leash area, fresh water, grass, a pet waste station, a secure gate and more. You can even rest at the designated picnic tables while your dog gets its energy out.

3. Stroll Through Steever Park

Take a leisurely walk with your pet at Steever Park, a picturesque green space in Goodland. The park features walking trails and ample open space where your furry friend can explore and play. Enjoy the beauty of nature while bonding with your pet and meeting other pet owners in the community. Don't forget to keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them to maintain the park's cleanliness.

4. Visit the Big Easel

No visit to Goodland is complete without a stop at the iconic Giant Van Gogh Painting. This giant reproduction of Vincent Van Gogh's famous "Three Sunflowers in a Vase" stands proudly at 80 feet tall. The best part? It's pet-friendly! Take your leashed pup for a walk around this magnificent piece of art, snap some memorable photos together, and marvel at the sheer scale of this unique attraction.

5. Visit the Carnegie Arts Center

If you're looking for a pet-friendly cultural experience, the Carnegie Arts Center in downtown Goodland is a must-visit. Leashed dogs are welcome in the outdoor sculpture garden, allowing you to appreciate the art while your pet enjoys a change of scenery.
