KOA Care Camps

At Goodland KOA, we support KOA Care Camps who provide children with cancer the opportunity to attend summer camp and experience the same joys of camping that we all enjoy.  We invite all our campers to help this noble cause, and to facilitate this we invite everyone to come camp with us during KOA Care Camps Weekend (always the 2nd full weekend in May).  Stay with us on Friday night and Saturday night (100% of Saturday night proceeds is contributed directly to KOA Care Camps). You can also contribute directly to KOA Care Camps here https://koa.com/care-camps/.

Pet Policy

KOA Campgrounds are pet friendly and welcome our campers who enjoy traveling and sharing their camping experience with the family pet. However, to ensure all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable time, it is important that you read and abide by the following KOA pet policy. Failure to comply with any of these Listed Rules could result in removal of pets from the campground.
  • Aggressive dogs of any breed are not welcome at any KOA. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please leave it at home. If you decide to bring your dog and it exhibits this type of behavior, you may be asked to please find other camping accommodations.
  • Pets are not allowed in the General Store, pool area, or playground. Pets are allowed in cabins for an additional fee per pet ($15).
  • All dogs are required to be under the control and visual observation of their owner at all times. A 6' leash rule is in effect whenever the animal is outside the owner's camping trailer, vehicle, or motorhome. No pet should be left tied up and/or unattended outside the owner's camping equipment. Please note that due to the high temperatures in Goodland, do NOT ever leave your dog in your vehicle without air conditioning.
  • Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night is not permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pet's barking behavior. Service animals are welcome at all KOA Kampgrounds, however, they must follow the leash restraint policies and may not exhibit aggressive behavior.
  • While we enjoy having your pets camp with us, we do not enjoy cleaning up after them. We ask that you please clean up after your pets and dispose of their waste in our various pet waste stations.

24 Hour Laundry

Laundry is open 24 hours. Detergent, dryer sheets, and quarters are available in the General Store.

Meet Your Hosts

Mike and Cindy Miller

"It's a lot easier to face your fears when you know your purpose" - Damar Hamlin

Mike and Cindy have always had a love for camping and the great outdoors.
In 2011 they became camp hosts at the beautiful Cheney Reservoir near Cheney, KS. Mike and Cindy's duties included gate attendant, guest services in the Cheney Park Office, maintenance, and camp hosts at Wichita Point on the East Shore and finally North Loop on the West Shore. They loved pointing out all the beautiful and fun amenities of the lake and sharing the  joys of the lake with others. They especially enjoyed meeting delightful guests from all over the U. S. and other countries!
2021 brought a new adventure for the Miller's when they were asked to manage a private campground near the Arkansas River. This campground has numerous backcountry trails which promise lots of fun and exciting adventures for ATV and UTV enthusiasts.
2023 promises to be even more exciting for Mike and Cindy Miller! The Miller's are ecstatic about joining the KOA team and have been blessed to become the new KOA managers for the Goodland KOA Journey! They look forward to sharing their love for camping, the great outdoors, and the beautiful Kansas skies with all the great new friends and guests they will meet at what Cindy likes to call Good Land, Kansas! Be sure to introduce yourself to the new Goodland managers and ask about all the fun activities to do during your stay.
