Enjoyed our stay. The only hick up was we lost internet and it never came back on from Saturday night till Sunday morning when we left. This happened after a storm went through the area. When TV is streamed and you lose your streaming it hinders what you can do, especially since we do a lot of our work on line. Very friendly, fun staff.

Very nice campground spread out very nicely...all the staff was friendly and the cabin we had was also very nice and clean ...the ponds were so nice to visit on out golf cart and there was alot to do

We loved it from start to finish! It was a great deluxe cabin with everything we needed. Plus a great mattress! Even the pull out couch was perfect. The amenities in the kitchen were just what we needed and made the trip easier. Thank you!

Stayed at one of the Delux cabins and it was perfect. Super clean and quiet. Easy access to Nantahala NF and Lake Chatuge.

Our daughter and son-in-law also enjoyed their stay very much! Their cabin was very nice and clean and they enjoyed the parks amenities, especially the two dog parks so their pups could enjoy some fun exercise!!

This KOA is the cleanest nicest KOA we’ve ever stayed at! The ladies in the office were super friendly and helpful, and our cabin was so clean and set up perfectly! Can’t say enough! The grounds were very well kept and there were plenty of activities for everyone! Thank you so much and we will definitely be back again!

We had the best time. It was our first time staying in one of the cabins. It was clean, comfortable and overlooks the lake. We also loved that they had dog bowls and a dog treat waiting for our dog. We will definitely be staying again in the future. There was so much to do and enjoy and the staff were so friendly and helpful. 5 Star all the way!!

It’s a wonderful campground Nice cabin. Something was nesting in the bathroom DC73 as debris was on the floor every morning or after returning.

Very nicely kept! Steve (asst. GM) greeted us after closing and was very helpful. We actually were going to stay there one night but came back the next night and stayed an additional 2 nights! If you’re in this area, look no further Tha Hiawassee KOA!

We were there for a family reunion and rented a total of 5 cabins. The only thing that soured our experience is how my brother was treated upon arrival. He had reserved the cabin next to ours, which we know had been cleaned and was ready before he arrived. He arrived early, and was abruptly told he would be charged an extra $5 for early arrival even though his cabin was ready - quite unnecessary

The Hiawassee KOA is the finest campground/RV park that we have ever experienced!! The entire campground was extremely clean and in an exceptional state of repair!! The staff was outstanding!! The bathhouses were second to none; they were wonderful!! The amenities were varied and all first class!! We will return to the Hiawassee KOA!!

Didn't know what to expect but everyone was so wonderful there. It was nice and peaceful. Cabin was by the pond which was super pretty. The Cabin itself was very clean and the perfect size for a one night stay. The amenities were also very nice as well.

Had a wonderful time. Accommodations were perfect. We had always camped in a RV before but loved the cabin concept and will definitely do that again. We have been coming to your facilty for many years and love the grounds. Your check in staff is a hoot, especially Steve, See you soon!

We tent camped here when it was Rivers End campground, so when we pulled up & it was the same place, I was so surprised!! The improvements made are amazing. We stayed in a camp cabin and were fully prepared to sleep in sleeping bags in the beds, so having much more of a hotel experience, while still enjoying the gorgeous outdoors, 10/10 & all the stars! Thank you for an amazing stay!!

The cabin was beautiful! Everything was very clean. The bed was comfy, the kitchen was well appointed with microwave, coffee pot, toaster oven and full sized frig and the bathroom was large with full shower and tub. Everything we could want. The grounds were well maintained and the people very friendly. Wish we could have stayed longer than a day but we'll be back!

I rented a cabin. My one of my daughters rented a cabin and another daughter brought their camper. My grandkids had the best time. We really all did.

Enjoyed the countryside, peaceful lake scene and the quite! Living in Atlanta gets to this country gal. Getting away from traffic and craziness was wonderful!

My two nephews and I had a marvelous visit. The boys loved the paddle boat, the mini golf, the jumpy pillow, the playground, and the game room. They played checkers, worked on puzzles and enjoyed air hockey. The cabin was immaculate and well equipped. Our stay could not have been better.

We were very well pleased with our stay! We brought our grandson with us, and there was so much for him to do! Our cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very helpful and friendly! We will definitely be coming back!

We enjoyed renting the cabin. Did not enjoy having to wait around until 9am to register the next morning. An after hours online registration should be available. Still have drainage issues and mud. Access to a bathhouse is very limited.

This KOA is the best one we’ve stayed out. My kids enjoyed the amenities and everything was VERY clean. We will definitely be returning!

The place was spotless and the cabin I stayed in was spotless and nice and toasty and it was freezing outside. The staff in the office were awesome and friendly and very accommodating and personable. The campground is beautiful with the lakes and the wildlife. Thank you!

Our 3rd year running at your campground, the first year since being absorbed by KOA. We're a large group, rv's & cabin dwellers, we get together to enjoy the Fall Motorcycle Riding with the Changing of the Leaves. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with Hiawassee KOA. Good Times with Good Friends and Great Activities made more enjoyable unhampered by camp issues. Reservations for next year are in plac

If camping with camper, I would recommend. If staying in one of the cabins with more than 2 people, I would not recommend. Pictures online when booking are misleading and not accurate at all. Shown private bedroom and table with 4 chairs etc but actually studio cabin with no privacy. Mentioned to staff and they agreed that it was misleading and would leave a note for manager but was never called

We had a wonderful weekend! We stayed in one of the cabins on the hill.There was two adults and one child we had plenty of space.The views were beautiful and our grandson had plenty to do to keep him busy and he made many new friends. We are already planning our next trip!

We loved the campground and the area! It's beautiful! But if you're going to have fake plants in the cabins they should probably be washed once a month or so as they were covered in a thick layer of dust and spider webs. Shower curtain had mildew on it but tub clean. Were bummed there was no stove in our type cabin, but I may have missed that in the website. Everyone there was so very friendly!!

Cute little cabin with nice fire pit and table and chairs outside. Wish the cabin had a little dresser or some shelves to unpack your clothes while staying there.

We took our RV and sites could have been bigger BUT the office staff was incredibly helpful and nice! Shoutout to Steven who helped me with laundry. WiFi was out and he had the app and helped me get my machines setup! Super nice guy and ya'll should keep him as long as you can !

Simple after hours check in, cabin was clean and supplied as advertised. Laid back stress free weekend with no drama. Enjoyed the views and especially the short drive back and forth to Hiawassee.
