The KY Dam Paddle Up is a family-friendly paddle event in partnership with the City of Calvert City, the Kentucky Lake Convention and Visitors Bureau, and the Tennessee River Line!Bring a kayak, canoe, or any other worthy paddle craft for a trip from KY Dam Boat Ramp to Haddox Ferry. For those who do not own a kayak but want to participate, 12 kayaks are available to reserve. Beginning at 7:00 AM central time, drop your kayaks off at KY Dam Boat Ramp just below Kentucky Dam and take your vehicle to Haddox Ferry. A shuttle service will shuttle participants from Haddox Ferry back to your kayak at KY Dam Boat Ramp for a leisurely group paddle five miles downriver to Haddox Ferry. Expect to be on the water for two hours. Lunch will be provided to all pre-registered paddlers.Marshall County Rescue Squad will be on-site floating alongside the group. All paddlers are required to wear a life jacket and know how to swim. A brief safety course will be held prior to the launch of the group.
