Land Between the Lake Canal Loop Trail: The premier mountain biking trail at Land Between The Lakes. Canal Loop Trail is an 11-mile singletrack loop trail with 4 connectors that consist of another 3 miles of trail. It offers a variety of loops ranging from a little over 1-mile to the full 11-mile outer loop. Canal Loop Trail can be accessed from the North Welcome Station and Kentucky Lake Scenic Drive. Canal Loop Trail receives a very high amount of use on weekends by mountain bikers and hikers, and offers many scenic overlooks of Kentucky Lake, Lake Barkley, and the Canal.
Hammond Creek Trail @ Lee Jones Park: Public trail located at Lee Jones Park in Eddyville, KY. Open to everyone and owned by Lyon County. The trail system is badged with maps located at the trailhead and intersections. Each trail has a unique flow from the more level Yellow Lowland Trail to the challenging climbs in the Orange Highland Trail and Red Soden Cemetery Trail. Lots of twists, turns, downhills, bridges, and climbs.
Livingston County Trail System: This trail system was constructed with the ultimate "multi-use" mindset. Some sections are tight and twisty singletrack dirt surface. Other sections are flowing stone surface trails, while some sections are paved with asphalt for leisure riding or hiking. With a dedicated trail team continuously working, one thing is for certain; the system is under constant expansion with ambitious goals of upcoming obstacles and cool features.

Calvert City has a great local park system. We have 3 large parks within two miles of the campground. There are 2 playgrounds, 2 disc golf courses, a splash pad, basketball courts, a pickleball court, walking paths, baseball diamonds, and picnic areas. The park has food trucks for Friday lunch and many events throughout the year. Fun for everyone in the family.

First Time Fishing? Kentucky Lake is a great place to learn how to fish. You may just need some guidance on fishing this new body of water.
