Lebanon / Route 66 KOAMeet Your Hosts![]() After retirement, Bob and Sandy Ebling purchased a KOA campground as a pastime, and have ever since turned their love for camping into their love for campers. Their laid back campground is welcoming to any type of camper-complete with a four-acre fishing pond and tall shady trees. "Its old-fashioned in a way," said Sandy. "We have long gravel roads and the landscaping is unique." Fishing is common in the area, and visitors do not need to purchase a license at the campground because it is private. The fishing is free and available to anyone. The KOA is near a state park where campers can experience the abundant trout fishing. This campground is a family run endeavor. Bob and Sandy's daughter helps them year around, and their grandchildren frequently lend a helping hand. According to Bob and Sandy, renovations are annual, and the summer of 2006 is devoted to installing a new recreational building. This will accommodate large groups and the current game room will be moved inside the new facility. Bob and Sandy feel that overall the experience of owning a campground has been nothing but good. Visiting with campers and working in the greenhouse is an ideal retirement. "We enjoy meeting new people-they come from all over the country, and we like to reconnect with our return campers," said Sandy. "We both try to make the customers happy, and Bob will take care of any problems they have with their sites," added Sandy. The campground is open year-round, so Bob and Sandy have very little time to sit back and relax. When they do receive a moment to themselves, Sandy enjoys reading and Bob makes use of their fishing pond. Come meet The Ebling Family. |
