I was there for Ozarks Mountain Challenge. Campus was amazing and staff was the most friendly I have ever encountered. The bath house was the nicest I’ve seen. This is not the KOA of my youth. Very well done. We are talking about bringing extended family back to the area and staying at your place. Thank you for the great experience.

The only problem I have with the place is the road getting there is very hairy.

Hosts are wonderful, camp facilities are clean. My husband especially liked the free coffee every morning at the Community Center.

Access to this campground was up an unsafe road for a 34K lbs. GVWR diesel pusher after recent heavy rain. The campground failed to advise us of the road's actual condition when asked.

Loved the scenery and the single compete unit bathrooms. Would like to have more hooks for hanging jacket or rain coat while showering. The little golf carts are nice for getting around wet areas on the main walkways.

Cute cabin—we enjoyed our stay here with our friends as much as our first two solo visits. The campground is huge and we enjoyed seeing it all with our golf cart. the owners and staff work hard to make sure everything is right; you won’t find a nicer, more welcoming group! Can’t wait till we return; this is our favorite for certain.

This was one of the most pleasant KOA experiences I’ve ever had. The area is beautiful, the weather was perfect, and the entire staff was terrific.

The grounds are very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our rental golf cart very much. There are alot of paths and trails to explore and the golf cart was the way to go for us. Many additions are being added to the park, a bounce pad, luxury RVsites and enhanced wifi. Our site in Whispering Pines loop was large and private and the lake was beautiful. We are looking forward to staying again.

We booked Sam A. Baker/Otahki Lake KOA last year for the 2024 Total Eclipse from Friday April 5-12 but stayed until Sunday the 14th. Many events scheduled on the day of the eclipse with live music, food and a Star Tour provided by one of the local astronomy clubs. Absolutely beautiful campground. Dark Sky! Family owned and operated, I cannot say enough about everyone there. We will be returning!

The place was great! The hot tub on the deck with lake view,beautiful. My only complaints aret the bunk bed room could be a little bigger and we could never get the TV to work. Very confusing!

Great campground. Amazing location. Pristine bathrooms. Nice lake for fishing with awesome trails for hiking or running. The staff was also amazing, finding eggs for me after I left mine at home. Just a reminder - make sure to bring all the supplies you need - the nearest grocery story is a bit of a drive (like for beer or worms for fishing). We will definitely be back. Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed in the deluxe cabins. I loved how clean and we'll maintained it was. They thought of everything. The grounds were beautiful and the cabins were cozy. The store had nice products and the lodge had fun activities for the kids. We wish the cabins had picnic tables for outdoor eating. The hot tub was relaxing. Thanks! We'll be back again soon!

We had an incredible time at the KOA campsite, largely due to the excellent amenities and the wonderful staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The availability of golf carts and fishing equipment for rent added a special touch to our stay, allowing us to fully enjoy the expansive surroundings.

This is the best and cleanest campground I’ve ever stayed at! The owners, staff, and volunteers were all cheerful and helpful and friendly. The facilities were top-notch. The grounds were spacious and neat. Morgan was especially accommodating and helpful with last-minute changes and with seeing to all of our particular needs. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and the eclipse. Thank you so much

I stayed here to photograph the total eclipse. Staff took extra time to find me a campsite with the perfect view. The open space at this campground is exceptional. They are working to get dark sky certified.

We had a lovely time at Baker/Otahki KOA. We had perfect weather and perfect view of the eclipse. The campground is enormous!! Room for all of us. The only criticism we have is that the roads are so so dusty. I'm sure there's still work being done and that will be fixed though. The food truck was a great idea. Our family ran in the 5K and we all enjoyed ourselves.

My stay was immensely enjoyable. I love the amount of available space, not just for camping but for exploring. The length of river available for relaxing and sports is extensive though given the temperatures I have yet to test. The camp crew were wonderful, helpful and so pleasant. It was a truly special few days and the full solar eclipse with all the additional entertainment was cherry.

We came for the eclipse and had a fabulous stay. The camp had wonderful activities for the event. The staff was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We plan to return and to encourage others to visit. The star gazing is unbelievable with almost no light pollution. The property is huge with lots of trails. They have river access and a lake. Plus national and state parks are very nearby.

Enjoyed our stay here! Beautiful lake & well kept grounds. Staff were helpful & friendly. New KOA and they continue to make improvements. Spots were more spacious than most KOA’s. Entrance road is a little tricky, but they are working to widen it. They had planned a great weekend of activities for the solar eclipse. Cabins looked excellent & even have 4 Conestoga wagons to rent! Lovely park.

My wife and I stayed in a "cozy cabin" at Otahki Lake KOA for the 2024 Total Eclipse. We enjoyed the accommodations, property and people there. Shout outs to Morgan at the Front Desk and Owner/Manager Dwayne, who were on-site day and night and provided excellent customer service.

The owner Leslie was amazing. We had car troubles and she went above and beyond expectations to help us figure out where to get it fixed, as well as helping us get back to our car. We stayed in a cabin, and it was very comfortable. The wood inside was beautiful, as well as the view of the lake. All the employees were very friendly and helpful as well. They also have good pizza at their snack bar.

The property was outstanding and the staff were awesome. They have it going, with all they have and can do there. We were there for the Eclipse and they had entertainment and extra things to do for everyone a few days leading up to the eclipse and all day during. We will definitely go back when back in this part of the country again.

We made the very best decision to book our stay at Sam A Baker/Otahki Lake KOA! Absolutely perfect for the viewing of the eclipse but with the bonus of the lake and the hospitality of the KOA staff. Large campground with spacious room in between camps. Amazing.

No doubt the best KOA experience we've ever had. The grounds and onsite resources were fantastic and the facilities and grounds were very clean and well managed. Moreover, the extra mile the staff went for the eclipse topped off the wonderful stay.

When we first booked our stay, I felt that the cost was pretty high for a site, but understood that it was for an event. (The 2024 eclipse) However, every time we turned around, we were pleasantly wowed by every staff member and volunteer there! Everyone went above and beyond and was happy. It was worth every penny and we’ll definitely be back! Keep up the great service!

My family had a great eclipse weekend!! Our grandchildren had a great life time experience, they learned all about the eclipse from the scientists. They rode their bikes, played on the playground, took hikes, experienced the star gazing and all the other activities including the face painting. Even found time to paint about 50 rocks and shells. We stayed in a Lakeview cabin, and it was amazing! Very clean and had everything we needed. The staff was great, very kind and helpful. We stayed for the eclipse, and they said that is the busiest it's been. I didn't notice or think that it was too busy or crowded because it was so spacious. My 4 children loved it as well. I'd highly recommend this koa.

Your campground is far and above the best place I have ever camped. The area is beautiful. The only suggestion I have is to have bigger trash cans in the toilet/shower rooms. The small ones fill up too quickly. I will be back !!

I can't rave enough about the staff and amenities. Everyone was super helpful and friendly, and it was very evident that they took pride in maintaining the grounds and creating fun events for the guests. My 11 year old had never been camping and he didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back!

We came for the eclipse. Loved the location (very beautiful), and we loved the eclipse events (music, beer garden, etc.). Staff were very friendly. We will plan to come back!

Seems like a new property. The staff were nice and helpful. Great location next to the state park. The lake is nice sized for paddle boarding or kayaking.
