Rock Port KOAMeet Your Hosts Dave and Annette Pernick are the owners and the only people campers deal with when visiting the Rock Port KOA. They believe this uniqueness sets their KOA apart from others and is one reason visitors come back again and again. They moved from California and had always wanted to own a KOA campground. "We had talked about it and talked about it and finally just did it," said Annette. The surrounding trees and crisp corn fields are welcoming to the weary city folk, and according to Annette, their campground is often just what the doctor ordered. "It's like having friends over every night," she said. "People talk directly to the owner, us, and can relax with the knowledge that they always get the right answers." If you are looking at a quick stop between cities, the Rock Port KOA is ideal, according to Dave and Annette, the bathrooms are immaculate and the 54 sites are assessable and easy. "We have one brand new cabin and 54 sites-most of them pull-through and others are tent sites," added Annette. Although the campground is technically seasonal, they welcome off-season guests but warn them of the limited amenities. They hope to see people visit any time of the year. "We somewhat live vicariously through our campers and love to hear where they have been and what they have done," said Annette.
