We stayed for 3 nights at the Badlands KOA. It was very convenient to Badlands NP (about a 10 minute drive). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our site (152) had a nice shade tree and was a nice size. We enjoyed the dog park. I didn’t use the showers but my husband had high praise for them. Nice stay!

We camped in pull thru site #35 for a seven night stay. Overall the park is a great place to stay if you are headed to Badlands NP and other attractions in the local area. The park is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. A special thanks to Kevin and Jeff for their great attitude and help when needed. The only Issue was the water pressure was limited.

We loved this spot and campground. We were warmly greeted by the staff. There were clean bathrooms with hot water, multiple places to walk the dog. Campers were assigned spots with plenty of room and privacy.

I loved how close it was the the park. The staff was also very friendly. I appreciated that there were events and options for food right on the premises if you did not want to cook.

Fairly level site. Showers are clean, okay pressure and decent hot water. Cable TV, decent channel selection. Staff are okay, did not really have much interaction with any of them. Fairly quiet, can not hear the highway. Propane on site. Close to Badlands National Park. Main reason I would stay here again, is there are not many other campgrounds in the area.

It's a very nice park. We enjoyed the meeting center and the cookhouse and had dinner there one night. It's close to the Badlands. The only issue is with the WiFi in the park where I was staying. The signal was poor and the connection would drop often. There was equipment on a tower at my site, but it obviously was not working. I mentioned it to the staff but they just said they do not manage it.

Our stay was great. We truly enjoyed the location, friendly workers: Kevin and Jeff, as well as the view and peacefulness of the resort. It was kept very clean and the staff supplied whatever we needed. Our pod was tiny for us two, but clean. Air conditioning/ heater noise made it difficult to sleep, but kept us warm. Thank you for our introduction to the KOA.

Positive points; close to the Badlands and very friendly, helpful staff. Negative; sites are not cared for and are in poor shape. WiFi (at our site) didn’t work. Interior roads are gravel and mud.

We had a beautiful camp site and a wonderful two days of warmth and sunshine. The owners were very friendly. The cook for one evening dinner was really slow but it was a good meal.

Very friendly people. We stayed in a deluxe cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. I typically stay in AirBnB's and perhaps have gotten little spoiled as although cabin had a frig and microwave, there were no dishes, dish soap etc. Not a huge deal, just was expecting a few typical necessities

The deluxe cabin was clean, quaint, and just right for us. The patio and outdoor amenities were sturdy and well constructed. We sat on the patio swing during the thunderstorms that rolled through. This KOA is only a 10 minute drive from the Badlands park entrance which makes for a great place to stay for some day hiking. We enjoyed our stay at your KOA more than a VRBO house we rented in Custer.

Beautiful campground very close to Bandlands National Park. The grounds have many trees making this a welcoming oasis in the Bandlands. The staff is very friendly and goes out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. I would definitely choose to stay here again.

Very nice, clean campground. The staff is great. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The river provides a great place to walk and the Badlands are right there. We had our grandsons with us and there was plenty to keep them occupied. Great place to ride bikes, play basketball, and lots of other games. Highly recommend.

the people who where working the koa were very friendly and chk's on us to make sure everything was okay everyday. However the area was full of dandelions and hadn't been mowed, i asked them to trim it and they did, they apologized, and said they did have enough people to work the grounds. Koa need to kill the weeds and remove the wood trim around the camp spots as well they are tripping hazard

The campground is nestled in a grove of trees so there is some shading .. It is only a few miles south of the National Park. The bathrooms were clean and pleasant. This KOA had a small short menu breakfast and dinner service which was quite good and reasonably priced. I noticed the property manager and wife was eating the same food. Always a good sign.

Everyone was so incredibly helpful! Really appreciated the hospitality. I only have two thoughts on how to improve: offer hand soap in the cabin bathrooms--this really surprised me! Also, consider offering a set of grilling tools. Otherwise, great!

Lots of great site. Only negative is seems like travelers just staying a night or two get the less appealing sites. Very friendly, lots of activities and extra amenities. Food wagon with breakfast and dinner, pavilion, playground, nice dog park, putt putt, clean bathhouse and laundry. Would definitely recommend snd stay again.

A really nice campground with terrific access to the Badlands park. The host was very welcoming, park was clean and the spots are spacious. They offer breakfast and dinner but as we were there in the off season, the kitchen was closed on the days we we there. Nice laundry facilities and they sell quarters in the camp store.

We had a great 5-day stay. The entire staff was so welcoming and the area is beautiful with The Badlands right outside your door. Each site was spacious and perfectly laid out. No better place to stay and literally 2 hours from so many cool things (Mt Rushmore, Deadwood, Custer State Park, Black Hills National Forest, Wall Drug). We definitely plan to come back!

Internet service was not reliable. Our Roku TV was rendered almost non-existent. We had rain - maybe that caused issues? Our phones’ internet usage had to pull from our data but that apparently wasn’t always available either. We were there mid-May. Very quiet campground. Very nice (large) dog park. Loved the escort service to our site upon arrival. Only campground in area with trees for shade.

I had ta great stay. The pod was just like a tiny house and was a perfect place! As was early they were able to accommodate me for the extra night! I was met with friendly faces and super helpful people. A great way to end a tiring drive. The levee hiking trail was a nice bonus in a lovely setting. Hoping to be back with my 2 granddaughters.

The campground served its needs (hook-ups and access to laundry) but for the price, there is a lot of ground upkeep needed at this KOA. Even the workers told us how “short staffed” they were. I would probably choose to stay elsewhere if traveling to the area again.

Clean level sites. Very little if any cell reception at campground but plenty if you drive 1/4 mile up valley you are in. Wifi works well but can be spotty. Both of these situations were good for us since we like to unplug when we travel.

Well maintained. Nice walking path and dog park. Location is minutes from Badlands. Staff is very friendly and courteous. We were fortuitous to be there to watch the aurora lights.

Thor and Cindy are amazing. They were so accommodating and dinner was great. Loved the Buffalo burger and 1/4 lb hot dogs. Campsite was very clean and comfortable. So close to the entrance and so quiet at night. We were able to totally unwind. Strongly recommend this campsite and it was our first KOA stay. Definitely will do it again!

We loved this KOA for a stay at the Badlands. Close to the NPS. KOA was clean and peaceful. We stayed in a yurt and it was cozy and clean. Restrooms were well kept also. Staff was friendly. Would stay again.

Very pretty park and conveniently located close to the Badlands national Park. The reason I am giving them a four star is because when I checked in the two ladies at the desk seemed like I was interrupting something. They did not tell me anything about the Campground. They only handed me my goodie bag and my site number and told me that they would escort me to my site. Usually when I check into KOA, they are so ready to inform me all about their facilities. The ground crew men were absolutely so sweet and kind and are the ones that told us about the facilities were.
